This project involved the repair and restoration of a prominent listed building in the centre of Keighley which was in a poor state of repair. Structural repairs were required to the walls and the building had suffered from water ingress over a number of years and from previous fire damage. The building was only used at ground floor level and the upper floors had limited access. To make it a more viable building in the future a new staircase and side entrance were inserted to give access to the upper floors and to open up the floors for a separate use to that of the ground floor shop. New sliding sash windows were installed and previously walled up window openings reopened. The roof was put in good order, damaged stonework was repaired or replaced and the walls made good with repointing. The stone features and general stonework was carefully cleaned.
