Primary School Main Hall Extension & Additional Rooms Extension – Bradford
This Bradford school did not have a main hall large enough to suit its pupil numbers. As such we devised a scheme to take out the end wall of the building and construct a full height hall extension to increase the floor area by 50%. All of this was done while the main hall was kept in operation by the school with the use of heavy duty screening. After the extension was completed, the entire hall was redecorated including a full new sprung timber floor.
The hall extension necesitated the demolition of a small lean-to changing/toilet block for the hall. As such, we designed and constructed a new side extension to the hall to provide enlarged new changing/toilet facilities to replace those. This extension also utilised additional space to provide new classroom and staff area facilities.
