The project provides a mixture of studio and 1 bedroom apartments to form a total of 106 apartments and shop units with a cafe to the ground floor located within the city centre of Bradford along one of Bradford main routes into the city.
The site is located within Bradfords Goitside conservation area with the historic Goit running to the rear of the site. The area has a significant amount of Victorian mill buildings and history which provides a good starting point for design inspiration from the surrounding context. The apartments are designed to have full height windows and balconies including aluminium sliding screens adds both privacy and dynamism to the facade replicating the pattern and rhythm of the taking in doors and windows of the large historic mill buildings within the conservation area.
